About This Location

Flat Iron Park is located on the 100 block of N McKinley Avenue.  It is home to an early-era cannon to honor our veterans.
 
Milroy Park, located on W Milroy and W Washington Street (US 231) and is home to a statue of General Robert H. Milroy who fought in the American Civil War for the Union Army.
 
Hanley Park is located at the corner of Front and Washington Streets.  The memorial honors Mr. James F. Hanley who was born in Rensselaer on February 16, 1892.  Mr. Hanley wrote many songs including "Indiana" in 1917, "Secondhand Rose" in 1921 and "Zing! Went The Strings of My Heart" in 1934.
