Street / Sanitation /Water/Sewage/ Recycling Department

Current Recycle Schedule: For the week of June 30, 2008 the recycling department is picking up the Monday Green (Northwest Section) and the Wednesday Pink (Southwest Section) Route. Also, the Friday, July 4th trash route will be picked up on Thursday, July 3, 2008. This will include Houston Subdivision

Street Department: The Street Department is responsible for the maintenance of the City of Rensselaer streets and alleys. The department has a fleet of five trucks, street sweeper, two large John Deere mowers, a leaf vac and two backhoes. The responsibilities change with each season. The Street Department also collects the yard waste and brush throughout the City in the spring and summer and collects the leaves in the fall. The Street Department is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
