Utility Office

City Hall PhotoThe City of Rensselaer is distinct Indiana municipality.  It is one of few in the state of Indiana to own, and operate five utilities.  Rensselaer operates its own Electric, Natural Gas, Water, Wastewater and provides garbage and recycling pick-up.  All of these are billed through the city's Utility Office.

The City of Rensselaer Utility Office operates with a staff of three (3) utility clerks and a utility office manager.  They are ready to greet you with a smile and provide exceptional customer service when entering City Hall.  All of your questions can be answered at the Utility Office from the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday.

For after hour utility emergencies, please contact the City of Rensselaer Police Department at 219-866-7602.

For special accommodations, or to request your bill in an alternative format, please call 219-866-4051 or email:
