Utility Office

City Hall PhotoThe City of Rensselaer is an unusual Indiana Municipality. It is one of the few in the state to own and operate five utilities.  Rensselaer operates its own electric, natural gas, water, wastewater and provides garbage pick-up. All of these are billed through the Utility Office.

The Utility Office operates with a staff of 4 utility clerks and an Utility Office Manager.  They are ready to greet you with a smile and provide friendly service when entering City Hall.

All of your questions can be answered at the Utility Office from the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Or, if you want to know your balance, make a payment and would like to know your options, or simply want to know where the utility office is located you can call the automated phone number at 219-964-0841.
